oh, Mother
When I was at Rhinebeck, I was grabbed everywhere I went and before people asked how I was doing, they asked about Bicoe. And Teek. And Indy. Probably about time for a kitty update, eh? I never set out to be a cat blogger or crazy cat lady, but sometimes the niche finds you. Whatcanyoudo?
When we brought Teek into the house, he was meant to be a bridge between the hatred Indy and Bicoe shared. And he did that. But then Bicoe retired to the Cape with our inlaws and old lady Indy was left with crazy energy Teek. He was constantly trying to engage her and she really just wanted to sleep or eat and not so much with the playing. Knowing that Indy isn’t going to last for ever, we went around and around about it, but we knew that Teek needed a pal. He needed to bond with someone while he was still young and still had the energy to goof around.
A friend of ours posted on facebook that she’d taken in a pregnant stray who’d given birth to a litter of one. Photos were posted, comments were made and just a few short weeks later, a kitten was delivered to our house driven up from DC.
Introducing the newest kitteh chez Splityarn, Mother.
After just four days, she and Teek became good pals. (Is it because they look so alike? I swear, it’s FREAKY)
She gets along with Indy too.
And our house is more harmonious than it’s been for ages.
She’s endlessly entertaining and not at all camera shy.
Ain’t she a cuteh-pants?

oh, mother
what a sweet girl! i love the photos. i’m glad you were able to give her a good home.
I love the “lounging” picture! And it’s so good they all get along. I wish Harley and Dolly would let Vinnie into their little family, but I really don’t think he wants to be a part of it, either!
Sounds like the perfect addition to your cat family! What a sweetie.
She’s such a nut! And an adorable one at that.
she is teh super cute! I love seeing all the photos again (of course I’ve been following along via flickr and twitter!!)
This cat is just far too adorable. And you’ve got great photos of her!!
