Rhinebeck, ho!

14 October 2010 3,633 views 3 Comments

then suddenly it's fall

(you can interpret that title however you want)

I am flying around the house tonight throwing handknits in a bag and trying to remember to pack my phone charger and sharpies and spanx and socks and a toque and about 80 million other things for when we hit the road tomorrow morning. Rhinebeck is always tricky to pack for because I always try to pile in everything that I’ve knit in the previous year and usually that isn’t very space saving. I’m normally a very very efficient packer, but for some reason Rhinebeck always throws me into a tizzy.

Come hell or high water (spanx or no spanx) Stitchy, Amy, Pam and I will be on the road by noon and zooming our way west to the New York Sheep and Wool festival. I freaking LOVE this time of year! I love the convergence of woolly minded people all gathering in one spot.

If you’re coming, be sure to say hi if you see me. Stitchy and I will be all over the place (we’re the center square for Rhinebeck Bingo) but you can track us down at the Ravelry meetup on the hill each day as well as in Building B signing books. Saturday we’ll be signing (and making you try on sweaters from the book) at 1pm and then again on Sunday at 10am. Come fondle the Knitting It Old School sweaters! If you miss us there, look for us hanging around the lamb chop grill. I plan to eat about 90 million lamb chops. (ok, maybe not that many, but one, maybe three. Nom)

I haven’t blogged them yet, but I’ll be wearing both my Rhinebeck sweaters. (I know! I knit TWO!)
