Photoshoot Friday, the first of many (probably)

I’ve been hemming and hawing (and ultimately getting paralyzed) about how to share the photos I’ve taken for all the knitting pattern designers I’ve been working with. I don’t know why it hasn’t occurred to me that I can just make it a weekly feature. I blog really well in my head, I just haven’t had any time to sit and actually blog some of this stuff. I really need to get a huge backlog of work posted, so I’m starting this week. I present to you, Photoshoot Friday. Or F.O. Friday. Or something named along those lines.
I’m going to take us back. Waaaaaaaay back. To TNNA in June! (I told you there’s a giant backlog, right?) Amy Herzog, Stitchy and I were walking down to dinner one night when we passed the federal building in Columbus with some art panels from the mid-70′s. Stitchy and I looked at each other, silently nodded and kept walking. The next day when Amy was all set to shoot one of her new designs, we told her we had the location all set. As far as backgrounds go, this has become one of my favourite shoots ever. The light in that corner of the building was magical and the orange! Oh, orange, how I love you.
The pattern is Wintry Mix, by Amy Herzog.

Man, I love that grey and orange together. Grorange wins!

I, too, am a big fan of the Grorange AND you blogging again. YAY! Also, these patterns? DEE-lightful. Looking forward to Whatever You Call It Fridays.
It is one of the coolest combos! You know, I don’t walk by walls and houses and fences like I used to, since meeting you. I always think, “ooooh, that would go with _____!”
Can’t wait to see the other pics.
That combination is really awesome. It’s the perfect backdrop — vibrant, but not distracting.
I was wondering when you were going to pop and mention the several photoshoots I’ve seen you’ve done around the interwebs!
Gosh I really need to knit this sweater – so simple and flattering in the best ways! These are fabulous pictures, too. (Even the Amy-laser-eyes one from your Petite Purls article – that one cracks me up.)
Leave your response!
