I love to plan shoots with Thea Colman, because when I get to her house she’s completely up for anything. So when I say, “there’s this great cemetery down the street I’d like to shoot” she doesn’t balk. She just says, SURE! And off we go.

We piled in the car with Stitchy (expert stylist, sweater  smoother and smile getter) and headed over midday last Saturday. I usually prefer to shoot early mornings or late afternoon, but we had some nice winter light and enough clouds to hide the sun here and there.

Grey backgrounds can be tricky and suck the life out of sweater colours and make things feel a little flat so I was definitely looking for other colours to throw in the mix. I think that yellowy-orangey-greeny moss really saves the day here though. I love it! I’ll definitely head back to shoot there again.

The sweater is Chambord, knit in Rowan Felted Tweed Aran. All the goodness of Felted Tweed in an aran weight! I wanna try it!
