I really struggled with what knitting to have on the plane with me. I eventually went with Lauren’s advice, you can’t go wrong with Koigu. I put my alternate project and pattern book into my checked luggage. I checked and rechecked my carry-on. Ipod? Check. Knitting? Check. Pencil? Check. Measuring tape? Check.
I got to the airport in Austin with plenty of time to spare (international flying, gotta be there early,) I grabbed a coffee, settled into a chair with good people watching potential and pulled out the sock.

Packing for a weekend in Vancouver is easy. Deciding what knitting to take on the plane? Not so easy. I have all this yummy new sock yarn and a case of startitis to beat them all. Ever wonder how sunrise looks over a Texas big box parking lot? Me neither, but now you know.
