It’s not like I do a tonne to prepare for the holidays around here. There’s the usual tree, some decorations and whatnot, but that’s about it. Well, that and humiliating the cats a little bit.  All the same, it’s been pretty hectic round these parts so I’m going to take a little time off until the end of December. In the meantime, pour yourself a drink and enjoy a couple wintry holiday-ish (or not) photos.

Oh! And! Today is the last day to order stuff from the shop until after …

I love this time of year so much. It’s just so darn pretty.

I’m headed up to Freeport, Maine to go to SPA this weekend and just like the last two years, the weather is calling for snow. I’m good with one last big snowstorm and then I’ll officially be over winter.  Bring on longer days! More light! Green things!

I know, I know, it’s been forever since I’ve updated the shop, but I’m back on track now! Couple new camera straps and some old faves have now been listed. Enjoy!

I was one of the lucky first few to snag one of Adrian’s Fiddlehead kits two years ago. Since then it’s been sitting in my stash, still in the box. Every now and then I’d open it, pet it, loving fold the tissue back over it and put it away.

There was a mini-run on Fiddlehead WIPs on flickr over the weekend so I jumped in, wound it up and cast on. I’m into the third colour on the first mitten now.

I know, Fall is almost over, but I’m not ready to talk about that yet. In the meantime, enjoy these leaves and pretend they’re still on the trees.

Or that they’re still on the ground.

Or go to the beach, where it doesn’t matter.

A good pal stopped by the other day to exchange some fabric and goodies and brought with her the perfect pick-me-up for my office. Lilacs! The studio smells amazing. Hurray spring! Thanks again, M, they’re perfect.

I don’t tend to post as regularly as I like here, but I’m hoping to work on that over the next year. I’m trying to set a semi-regular(ish) schedule for myself. In the meantime though, if you’re ever wanting to know what I’m up …
