Summer just keeps rolling in, eh?
I’ve been keeping busy down in our basement where it’s 10 degrees cooler than upstairs. In fact, sometimes it’s so cold down here that I have to put extra layers on. The temperature difference is tough in the winter, but right now it is heaven.

I have so many things in the works behind the scenes. I still have 5 knitting FOs to blog. I upgraded my camera. I bought a knitting machine. I changed the way I’m approaching sewing for the shop. I’m waiting on a giant shipment of zippers. I have tutorials half written. I just seem to be spinning my wheels a little. I’m pretty sure I’m lagging behind because it’s March and it’s Spring. AND IT EFFING SNOWED YESTERDAY. Seriously. I’m over Winter, officially.

For reals, it’s so bananapants busy around here! Between shop stuff, book stuff and photography stuff, I swear I haven’t had five minutes to finish any of the 10 million blog posts that are sitting in the draft folder. So how about a random Monday list? I like it!

It’s not like I do a tonne to prepare for the holidays around here. There’s the usual tree, some decorations and whatnot, but that’s about it. Well, that and humiliating the cats a little bit.  All the same, it’s been pretty hectic round these parts so I’m going to take a little time off until the end of December. In the meantime, pour yourself a drink and enjoy a couple wintry holiday-ish (or not) photos.

Summer really sucks wind for shop productivity, but even doubly so when you’re preparing for a book to come out. Now that it’s on the shelves I can get back to the sewing machine and start cranking stuff out again. Feels good!

A few weeks ago Bestitched mentioned an exchange she had with a coworker about a handknit skirt she was wearing. The coworker sneered something along the lines of, “aren’t you just the sweetest in your homemade clothes.”

Or is it stashed down?

At any rate, Stashdown 2010 was very very successful. Almost the entire stash of shop fabrics has been cut into pieces.

I love this time of year so much. It’s just so darn pretty.
